1. Background of Campus :

When the rays of education broadly scattered all over Nepal in the year 2039 B.S. the developmental work of different sectors commenced rapidly through the nation and the process of establishing collages on different domains of the country was being setup and the flame of education also touched to the tender hearts of all the contemporary inhabitants of Rangeli Municipality and its neighboring dwellers like fire .As a result , Janata Campus  Rangeli was established in 2044 B.S. by the endeavors and active involvement of local people of Rangeli Municipality . It is the only one respected , leading and non profit community based campus which is located in southern part of the old headquarter of  Morang district, Koshi Province , constituency no 5 by the active participation of the contemporary people of Rangeli Municipality and its surrounding municipality and rural municipality i.e. Sunbarshi Municipality and Dhanpalthan Municipality respectively in order to cater quality and time needed higher education downtrodden people of Madhesi, Muslim , Dalit , Janjati , Aadhibashi (Aborigines) and other ethnic communities , with the main  leadership of the contemporary social reformers, political leaders , educationists, academicians, traders and farmers .  

Initially , Janata campus conducted intermediate level of academic program in the faculty of Humanities in affiliation with Tribhuvan University . It ran classes successfully in the building of Shree Public Secondary School , Rangeli with having 160 students, five dedicated and qualified lecturers and three non – teaching staff. When the fund for constructing own campus building was managed and collected by the contemporary educationists, academicians, social worker, traders, general public and donor (plan Nepal) , they all commenced to seek a suitable place and area then , the place which has been located near Rangeli Gausala ,  a half K.M. west – north from Rangeli bus park , was given prioritized and in 2048 B.S. its main teaching building with 8 rooms was constructed and completed in 2051 B.S. After that , the campus was shifted from Shree Public Secondary School to desired place in own building conducting teaching – learning activities with dedicated and qualified lecturers.

With the increasing demand specially from a large number of girl students for higher equality education , Janata Campus conducted B.B.S. and B.Ed.  programs receiving T.U. affiliation in 2056 B.S. This is because the students of this area are not able to afford other collages  fees in Biratnagar and thus the students of constituency no 5 and constituency no 2 are getting benefits from this now . As a holy pioneer campus in Rangeli Municipality it is committed for bringing and promoting quality  education to the access of student from all walks of the society . Apart from this, the campus is dedicated to impart time –needed quality education with minimum fees in students ‘ friendly learning environment . But the sorrowful and pitiable side of the campus is that its main teaching building got damaged by the devastating earthquake 2072 B.S. As the entire nation was horribly shaken , this campus was not exceptional . Since then , it has been compelled to run classes in the earthquake damaged building due to the lack of other good condition building as well as rooms. No doubt , the roof and walls of building may fall at any time . It accommodates many students in placing them in fearful and unsafely educational environment . As the teaching and learning activities are being carried out in the shadow of death , this campus is a dire need of having new teaching building to meet the above mentioned requirement currently . Janata Campus has carved out for itself  an enviable niche among the best collages in morang district constituency No 2 and 5 , Koshi province , Nepal . It has been able to earn  its place of pride through the vision and dedication of a team academic professionals who have promoted it. It is also possible because of the skill of its panel of qualified lecturers who posses sound knowledge in their fields and above all the deligence of its students where outstanding performance has been consistent during the last 35 years. It is growing like a Luxuriant tree under the co operative and responsive management team which is always devoted towards maintaining academic excellence . Our remarkable success has been reflected not only in university level but also in 10+2 level. Janata campus owes its growing popularity and outstanding performance to its qualified and professionally competent faculty members who posses cutting edge knowledge and skill in their respective disciplines. The campus has been running smoothly due to the untiring efforts and  unstinted guidance of competent and experience lecturers in discharging their duties with full of integrity and sincerity.
